Cormac Mccarthy has a very unique way of writing, so as that the style of his writing relates back to the content in the book. In 'The Road' his style is dry and and quite solemn even in the more uplifting moments in the book. Mccarthy also has what would be considered bad writing normally... no grammar. And the style of the book’s writing is eerily suited to the subject matter. I cannot agree that all writing should be this way. Not all stories have the same tone or feel. Not all characters would/should speak in short, clipped sentences.
